One book at a time

What has influenced me?
A window to the unknown, I guess that is what some people feel towards books. As a kid I never really enjoyed reading. I always found reading boring an uninteresting. Most of the books I was assigned to read were strange and just playing boring. I remembered reading "El Principito" (The little prince) and "Marianela." The little prince is basically about this kid that lives in a tiny planet. He soon travels to some of the neighbor planets, where he encounters with new people and adventures (not a moving book). The book "Maranela" in the other hand was just so sad to read. Is basically about this 16 year old girl whose life is full of one tragic moment after another. So you see why I hated reading as a kid. I think reading should just come from a natural feeling of loving to read. A person should read because they want to not because they are obligate to.

I gave this whole "reading" thing another chance. So, I went to the bookstore and I purchased this book called "Beastly." I was in love with the storyline of this book from the very beginning. It is a modern tale of my favorite movie "Beauty & the Beast." I have to admit that at first I was a bit of a slow reader. After finishing "Beastly," I started to get more and more into books. Today, I can read 2 books at the same time. I feel like I am turning into a book-a-holic. HAHAHA!!!

You probably wondering, What's the whole point with this post? It's simple really, I find books as an inspiration and influence to my life. Books are the key to new adventures. They make me feel like I am part of the story. I feel like reading is viewing at the world differently. I don't really have a favorite book. I LOVE all of the books I read throughout the years (with the exception of the one I read as a kid). I feel like I learn something new with every book I read. I can understand people's feelings, struggles, lives, culture, family through books.

Some of my most memorable books:
"Beastly" modern version of
"Beauty & the Beast" is
great. It kind of reminds me of my
childhood. A fairy tale about
true love.
A heart felt story about
a girl coping with her teenage life
along with a progressive disease.

This is the first book from
The Sookie Stackhouse Novels. What
can I say, I love supernatural books
once in awhile.
A funny modern tale of
sleeping beauty.
A collection of short stories about
 mother and daughter
bond.
I enjoyed this book.
The book makes you think about they way you eat.
I never put any thoughts into the way I eat, but this book
does change your views towards food.

So, What has influenced me? BOOKs. I learn something new from them. They make me feel happy, sad, scare, adventurous, etc. I hope to keep on reading new and wonderful books.

    1. I used to not like reading at all. I think it has to do with the books I read in middle school. They were really bad!!!. I am so thankful I decided to give it a try once again. I probably read more fiction books than anything. It has to be a really really good nonfiction book for me to read it. lol

  2. I am not a really good patient person just to spend hours or days to read books. But it is good to read some book. Good information.
